Ecco Salon Apprentice Program
A solid education is a crucial foundation for working in cosmetology. However, we also know there are many hopeful stylists who want to work in the industry—but don’t have the money for a traditional cosmetology program, or don’t want to graduate with debt.
Ecco Salon’s Apprentice Program offers a different approach. Our program allows individuals to prepare for licensure through hands-on training and mentorship in one of our three salons. As an apprentice, you’ll work directly with one of our senior team educators, where you’ll receive one-on-one training — and get paid for it.
The Apprentice Program is a great way to get real-world experience immediately—not after you graduate. Apprentices begin by observing other stylists and gradually work into practicing various techniques on actual clients. This exclusive program is highly individualized, with apprentices learning and refining their skills over a two-year period.
Apprentice Requirements
To be considered for Ecco Salon Apprentice Program, you must:
- Have a strong passion for the beauty industry
- Be highly motivated and excited about learning
- Be at least seventeen (17) years of age
- Be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week
- Complete 4,000 hours of paid training within a three-year time period
- Have reliable transportation to attend in-school and on-the-job training
- Carry out the required cosmetology provisions as set by WI DSPS
- Register and assume full responsibility for in-school training expenses, including tuition and materials. (we partner with MATC)

You’ll be able to spend the day in the salon, immerse yourself in our culture and see the dynamic of our team as well as observe the Senior Educator at work and talk with our other stylists about their experiences.
